Croatia is one of the five countries in which Krka has established its own pharmaceutical production. It is one of the company’s key markets and one of the biggest markets in South East Europe.
Krka’s story in Croatia began in the 1960s with the opening of a representative office. In 1992, we founded KRKA-FARMA d.o.o. in Zagreb that had 19 employees. In 2001, we built a modern distribution and production centre in Jastrebarsko, near Zagreb, that was initially intended for warehousing and logistics. Four years later we started producing medicines and acquired the status of a domestic manufacturer. Today, we have two pharmaceutical plants – one specialises in the production of oncology medicines and the other in the production of solid dosage forms (tablets and capsules) of animal health medicines. We manufacture products for the domestic Croatian market and other Krka markets as well.
We also carry out a number of activities in marketing and distribution of pharmaceutical products. Throughout the years we have established and maintained close ties with doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians and business partners, which we are committed to doing in the future as well. Today, more than 200 professional and dedicated employees contribute to the success of Krka in Croatia, ensuring the continued growth and development of the company.
